Exclusive Summary

UNIDO is an integrated health service platform, based on a human health rating system as DigiTwins technology matures in the future. It is supported by the government and provides users with health data transmission equipment, personal DigiTwins insights and health evaluation services. 

In this service system, users will be able to exchange higher health levels for more preferential benefits related to health services. I also wish to positively improve people’s awareness of their own healthcare through this service system.

Challenge of aging healthily

The challenge of aging healthily is becoming increasingly important as the global population ages. Currently, 23% of all deaths and illnesses are among people aged over 60. Much of this burden is attributable to chronic disease. However, effective health interventions can increase life expectancy. By 2020, the number of people aged 60 years and older will outnumber children younger than 5 years.

To address this challenge, DigiTwins was created an EU-backed research initiative that aims to revolutionize healthcare through the creation of digital twins. DigiTwins is supported by more than 200 partners from 118 academic and clinical research institutions and companies in 32 countries. The vision of DigiTwins is to make mistakes on computer models instead of people, revolutionizing healthcare and health maintenance.

Challenge

When everyone has their digital twin, how to use DigiTwins technology to help us age well?

I looked up the DigiTwins organization and collated several important applications of their technology by reading about the initiatives they are engaged in.

What things can Digitwins do?

Current situation of health management

From the analysis of DigiTwins technologies, I focused on the individuals’ health management platform and wanted to find design opportunities among it due to the emergence of DigiTwins technology

Project Summary

In this project, I explored the possible application value of Digitwins in personal health management. Finally apply it to the human health rating system, which hopes to arouse attention to people’s healthcare assessment.

Think of the future of healthcare

In the future, I think that human beings may generate more emotional links with Digitwins because of the “health” point, which may have potential ethical concerns. The existence of a person’s digitwins, may trigger discrimination or interference with the true character represented by digitwins. Therefore, the protection of personal medical data in the future will also be a new opportunity and challenge.
